Yoga Mat to Placemat: Move Well, Eat Well, Be Well: The Duchess and I are excited to offer this special workshop to help you feel terrific all year long through movement and healthy eating. Start off with a great two-hour Fascia Release and Alignment class with registered yoga teacher Loretta Zedella (aka The Duchess of Fork), as we use foam rollers, small therapy balls, bolsters,and yoga postures to release tension from the body, revealing ease of body and peace of mind.  Then, learn how a healthy, plant-based diet is a wonderful complement to your yoga practice or any exercise routine with Chef Mark and a two-hour cooking demonstration and sampling! If you are curious about how to get started with a healthier diet or looking to expand your kitchen skills and repertoire, this class is for you! Tuesday, August 12: Cooking Under Pressure at
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Get ready to dust off that pressure cooker in your cabinet and start making quick and delicious meals. You will learn the basics of using a pressure cooker safely to create dishes that you didn't think were possible! Plus, you will receive a copy of "Pressure Cooking Perfection", a $13 value, plus a few other items to help with pressure cooking courtesy of the nice people at Fagor America, manufacturer of the pressure cookers I use. Thursday, August 21: Cooking Counts at Lucky's Market in Clintonville. I lived across the street from Lucky's first store in Boulder, Colorado, for a time and was impressed with the selection of fresh, local ingredients. Imagine my delight when they opened a store in Columbus, and I am thrilled to partner with them to offer a Cooking Counts series this summer. My cooking demonstration on August 21 at 6:30PM will be preceded on Tuesday, August 12,  by an educational talk with Lucky's nutritionist from Boulder, CO., Tracee Box. . I'll be showing you how a plant-based diet can be very price friendly, healthy, and extraordinarily yummy.
