Yoga Mat to Placemat: Move Well, Eat Well, Be Well: The Duchess and I are excited to offer this special workshop to help you feel terrific all year long through movement and healthy eating. Start off with a great two-hour Fascia Release and Alignment class with registered yoga teacher Loretta Zedella (aka The Duchess of Fork), as we use foam rollers, small therapy balls, bolsters,and yoga postures to release tension from the body, revealing ease of body and peace of mind.  Then, learn how a healthy, plant-based diet is a wonderful complement to your yoga practice or any exercise routine with Chef Mark and a two-hour cooking demonstration and sampling! If you are curious about how to get started with a healthier diet or looking to expand your kitchen skills and repertoire, this class is for you! We would love to bring this workshop to your community center, place of employment, church, or other location. Thursday, August 28: Cooking Counts at Lucky's Market in Clintonville. I lived across the street from Lucky's first store in Boulder, Colorado, for a time and was impressed with the selection of fresh, local ingredients. Imagine my delight when they opened a store in Columbus, and I am thrilled to partner with them to offer a Cooking Counts series this summer. My cooking demonstration on August 28 at 6:30PM will show you how a plant-based diet can be very price friendly, healthy, and extraordinarily yummy. Seating is limited, and advanced registration of $15 is required by emailing elisabethw@luckysmarket.com

I will be taking a little time off from teaching cooking classes in September, so watch for announcements and more information on a cooking demonstration coming up at Humana Health's Guidance Center on October 1, a "Plant-Based 101" class at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens on Wednesday, October 29, and a Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner class on Tuesday, November 18, also at the Franklin Park Conservatory. I will also offer a "Healthy Holidays" class on Saturday, November 8, at the beautiful Dawes Arboretum in Newark, Ohio.
